The means of dealing with our clutter in our homes or offices isn’t just about the things we see around us. Sometimes it has to do with how we feel on the inside. You have a much better chance of working at decluttering your space when you feel good physically. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
1. Have you been getting enough sleep? If you go night after night and day after day with too little sleep, you will not be in a frame of mind to be able to cope with the external issues. Get to bed earlier tonight and maybe take a little nap during the day.
2. Have there been any chances in your life, such as eating habits or a new schedule? Changes can be stressful. Try to deal with one change at a time. It will help to balance your life.
3. Do you start you day with a bang? If so, you need to rearrange your routine. Set your alarm to get you up 15 minutes earlier and have a quiet time to read something inspirational to set the tone for the day. This helps you to begin your day in a peaceful state of mind.
When you feel rested and at peace, you will feel like you can conquer the world – even the job of decluttering the space around you. Being in the right frame of mind and feeling rested can save you energy in the task of decluttering and it can save you time.
